Cailean is a student of Theus Institutum o Magicae and a member of the Promo Medeis House of Magi. A childish and repressed individual, he was raised by a very strict and traditional family, who value only perfection and standing, above humanity and love.
They forced him to become the best and smartest conjurer, forcing his emotions down and suffocating any individuality. When he was finally allowed to study at the Institute, he came to it in a breeze of suffocated emotion and a doll-like demeanour. Wrapped in a layer of egotism for his family name.
While he's incredibly smart, he struggles to manage his feelings and to break out of his conditioning since childhood, though he speaks, almost, warmly of his grandmother. His bloodline is tied to an ancient selkie legend, and his foci is a seal-skin scroll protected by a magic golden, metal case. He wears it on him at all times.
Important Features
- Body is thin and lean, very little visible muscle but lithe and in good shape.
- Hair is very wavy and messy, it's unruly and is barely pulled back into a ponytail with ocean-themed pins along the sides. It's shades of grey with ringed seal spots.
- Has vitiligo, pale patches of skin along his body, ears, neck, arms and legs.
- Has freckles over his face, shoulders, arms, chest and legs.
- Face is fairly boyish, and soft.
- His ears are pointed, though not very long.
- Has ringed seal spots all over the back of his body, from his head down to his feet. They're greyish-brown.
- Eyes are shades of blue and green, his left eye is darker than his right.
- Right arm is a prosthetic, he was born without it. His prosthetic is very expensive and a mixture of magic and metal.
- Props can be anything magic related, or something one might need for magic lessons within a school, including books. Any of the parts to his uniform are included as well, from winter or summer, he's not allowed to modify these. Always has his seal-skin scroll on him, it's got a bronze, decorative protector and often hangs from his belt, the skin is cream with grey-brown ringed spots. Can summon beasts, objects and various other things using his magic. Has a variety of ocean-themed hair pins and beauty cosmetics.
- Poses are normally proud but closed off, he hides a lot of his feelings and tries to keep others from getting too close to him. Very upstanding, very well-mannered and looks the picture of a perfect wealthy heir. This does begin to loosen somewhat over time. Can be found summoning creatures using his magic, drawn before leaving home to study at the institute, or during his time at the institute. Is often studying, practicing and putting his all in to make sure he's the best at what he does. Later on starts to show more childish curiosity and opens up more around his friends.
- Expressions are normally quite flat or blank, he can show pride and his smug, smartass nature but often that comes through in tone. As he starts to open up he blushes a lot in indignation and often panics when feeling something. Generally quite childish in his lack of emotional maturity and this shows on his face. He pouts quite a lot, and tends to sulk when he doesn't understand something or doesn't like something. Becomes very expressive over time, especially with his friends.
- Should always be drawn with his hydra companion, named Nathair. He lets down his guard with the hydra easily.
- Can be drawn with anyone else from Theus Institutum, his connections vary, though he is very close with his main group of friends. Tends not to be close with others, especially at the start of his studies due to his closed off and egotistical nature and the way he was raised, this improves over time, though he still struggles to make friends.
- Can be drawn with his parents, who he is not close to and is treated like a nuisance or doll by them, finds it hard to be around them. Especially later on when he starts to overcome his childhood trauma.
- Can be drawn with his grandma, who he is very close with, either before she's sent to a care home when he's fourteen, or later when he finds her again during his time at the institute. They get along very well and are very loving towards each other.

Novus Theus is a massive metropolis and a city steeped in history of magic and creation. People journey from far and wide to visit the city itself, as well as the famous Theus Institutum o Magicae. With an array of museums, an active culture, as well as a constantly moving nightlife, it has become a haven for students, adults, and historians alike. Modern technology exists, limited to transportation and communication, though some substitute their magic to fulfill those roles, even though magic is strictly monitored and registered with Foci.
Theus Institutum o Magicae is one of the most well known Institutes of Magi, led by the last living heir of King Theus himself. A sprawling and massive ground, with beautiful white walls, and many decorations for each house, the building is somewhat of a tourist attraction, despite not opening its doors to visitors. Many of the students go on to become famous and powerful figures throughout the world.

Adrien works with Bella quite closely, practicing dance routines and creating music that will match her performance style. Though he is slightly over familiar with her and will sometimes receive threats in return. They've developed a teasing, playful relationship. Adrien likes getting her to come out of her shell and is trying to help her find comfort in other people's presence.
He also enjoys buying her new outfits, often dragging her out with him. Adrien has let Bella see into his mind so she has a good grasp over his feelings and how he struggles with himself and his upbringing. She shows signs of frustration at him hiding his struggles, but doesn’t bring it up. They very rarely discuss their pasts, he finds comfort in knowing she understands a similar upbringing and they fill their time with not thinking about their struggles.

Adrien found his way to the Limbo Freak Show by chance. They were performing in town, to offer solace to the people during a hard economic hit. When he saw their show he saw a chance to escape from the life he'd been caged to. They saw his interest and saw something in him that was seeking freedom. He agreed to join them and travel to help bring light to other people.
He became their musician and choreographer. The Show has given him a sense of family and he's coming out of his shell a lot, finding comfort in their company.
History
Adrien was born to two musical geniuses. Isabella and Mateo Giovanni de Luca. The atmosphere he grew up in was suffocating and very strict. His oldest sister, Maria, grew to be cruel and unpleasant as well. Both Adrien and his younger sister, Ani, were struggling under their parents. Neither wanting to be constricted to their parent's plan for them. Even from a young age, Adrien has been very talented with instruments and music. The pressure of his parents made him avoid his responsibilities as much as possible in order to push back about it.
Becoming a little jaded and neglecting himself and his emotions, he tried to protect his sister as much as possible. When his father died, his mother grew even more controlling. Likely to help bring some more control into her life, that she believed she'd lost. When he realised she was going to lock him into a life he didn't want, he left home with no word to his mother or sister, only giving Ani a way to contact him.

Leaving home
Around the age of twenty, he finally managed to pull out from under his controlling mother. Not long after his father died and her treatment and personality worsened. This event helped him escape an abusive situation, and opened up his life for freedom and a chance to be comfortable in himself again.
Joining the show
Met and joined the freak show very soon after leaving home. Working a dead-end, boring job just to survive, he went to see them perform in the nearby town and was brought in by day/night, who saw a great deal of musical talent in him (As well as a lot of pain).
Reconnecting with his sister
A few years after having joined the freak show, he received word from his sister, Ani, that she was free from their parents and searching for her own direction in life. This event took a great deal of weight off his shoulders. Adrien is highly proud of his sister, and writes to her as much as he can.

History
Born from the spirit of a great wolf who died at the base of the Fadarossa Forest, Lancelot became a guardian to protect the great creatures around and within the forest. When the griffin were slaughtered and the Eshire castle burned, he went to try and help and instead found a single figure, Cousaria, almost dead and buried under the ruins of her home.
